About Andrew Giese

BS and MS in Computer Science from University of Dayton and Texas A&M University, respectively. My Master\'s thesis research was in multi-agent systems and motion planning.I\'ve touched a variety of languages, but my specialty is in C++(and to an extent, C). I\'m fairly competent with C#, SQL, and Python. I have used many other languages, but if you don\'t use it you lose it: Perl, javascript, PHP, Java, PHP, COBOL, Bash scripts.I\'m capable in flavors of Linux and Windows OS, although I prefer the bash terminal for getting around.The best editor I have ever used is Visual Studio with the VIM plugin, it\'s really the best of both command-line, macro-driven programming plus excellent code completion and error signaling.Git is the latest source control I\'ve been using, although I\'ve used Team Foundation Server source, and SVN (and even the super simple RCS).I\'m fairly active on StackOverflow (https://stackoverflow.com/users/27678/andyg), and I often write technical articles on my blog (https://gieseanw.wordpress.com/)

   Working on one of Filevine\'s high-performing AI teams computing document embeddings at scale and supporting a chat app that utilizes RAG to allow lawyers the ability to \"chat with their case\"; retrieving accurate (citable) information from all data points relevant to their cases.
