Using Data and AI to solve real-world problems at scale **As part of the Tesco Data and Analytics Leadership team, I head an engineering function focussed on driving and supporting Data Science and AI within Tesco. My team(s) work alongside Tesco data scientists, building new Machine Learning and AI driven capabilities, integrating them into the business.We\'re actively involved in a broad portfolio of projects ranging across supply chain and logistics, through to store and online, with data science teams covering Retail Operations, Intelligent Edge, Computer Vision, Pricing Models, Personalisation, Online Retail and more. Currently areas in which I am most actively involved include Generative AI and Retail Operations.Within my function, teams cover- Machine Learning Engineering- Data Engineering- DevOps and Systems Engineering- Backend Software Engineering- AI EngineeringWe have many exciting opportunities to make a difference

My passion is in helping organisations achieve their goals through innovative use of data, with particular focus on Machine Learning and AI.In recent years, I’ve led engineering teams responsible for production-ising machine learning and data science based solutions, in addition to teams responsible for enterprise wide business intelligence systems, data integration platforms and content enrichment, building both greenfield and replatforming legacy systems. I’m a keen technologist and enjoy getting hands-on, but more importantly believe the key to success is in building and empowering high performing diverse teams. I have a keen commercial focus with strong emphasis on driving delivery of solutions and adding real customer value, while taking a platform approach.
