Results driven individual, who has demonstrated leadership skills and expertise throughout his career. Assumed the Senior Director of Accounting role at Sungard Availability Services (Sungard AS) during Q2’14, responsible for managing the General Ledger, Global Consolidation, and Financial Reporting organizations. Currently in the process of overhauling and implementing a new global consolidation financial reporting system after Sungard AS spilt-off from SunGard Data System at the end of Q1’14.Prior to this role, directly responsible for managing the General Ledger organization for the Sungard AS North American entities for 3+ years, implementing process improvement initiatives to reduce the monthly general ledger close cycle and provide better financial information to key stake holders within the organization. Increased the finance organizations role as a controllership group, championing various projects to strengthen compliance and internal control processes throughout the processes that impact the finance organization both up and down stream.Currently serve as a key point person within the finance organization, providing guidance to both financial and non-financial personnel, serving as the main point of contact for the annual financial statement audit. Further, responsible for preparing monthly and quarterly reporting packages for executive management’s review, as well as ad hoc requests on an as needed basis.Prior to joining Sungard AS, worked as an Audit Senior within Deloitte and Touche, serving clients primarily in the manufacturing and services industries. Managed several teams through the performance of Financial Statement and SOX 404 compliance audit procedures for SEC registrants.Actively licensed Certified Public Accountant since 2006. Chartered Global Management Accountant since 20••••05 graduate of Villanova University School of Business Masters of Accountancy and Professional Consultancy program.
