ABOUT ANDREW FOERSTER
I am a Senior Research Advisor at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco.My research is on macroeconomics, with interests covering a broad range of topics including monetary policy, financial crises, and macroeconomic fluctuations and growth. My work has been published by top journals such as the Journal of Political Economy, Journal of Monetary Economics, International Economic Review, Quantitative Economics, and Journal of Money, Credit and Banking. I have also written a number of articles for Federal Reserve publications such as the FRB San Francisco Economic Letter, FRB Kansas City Economic Review, and FRB Richmond Economic Quarterly.Prior to joining the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, I was an Economist, Senior Economist, and then Assistant Vice President and Economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. I also served as a Research Assistant at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond. I received my PhD in Economics from Duke University in 2011, an MS in Mathematical Sciences from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2006, and a BA in Economics from Davidson College.
