About Andrew Erickson

Helicopter Pilot with over 23 years of aviation experience. Served as an Army Officer on Active Duty for eight years prior to leaving full time military service for the corporate sector. From 20••••17, I worked as a Production Test Pilot at Sikorsky Aircraft in Stratford, CT where I conducted final ground and flight evaluations of new Blackhawk helicopters to validate proper function and safe operation prior to delivery to the customer. From 20••••15 I was based in Dubai as Chief Pilot for Middle East Programs, managing and conducting aftermarket customer pilot training across four countries. In 2017, I began working full time for the Connecticut Army National Guard. Since then I’ve been the supervisor of both the Aviation Support Facility (AASF) and the Aviation Classification and Repair Activity Depot (AVCRAD). I am currently serving as the full time Director of Aviation and Safety while commanding the 1109th Theater Aviation Sustainment Maintenance Group (TASMG) as a traditional Guardsman.My specialization in the aviation industry focuses on helicopter maintenance, but I also have experience in flight operations, administration, training (both designing training programs for new customers and flight instruction), military/tactical flight operations, and domestic emergency planning at the Joint Staff level in the National Guard.

   Chief advisor to the Adjutant General on matters of Army Aviation and Safety. Manages resources across directorate to assure safe training and mission execution. Consults with peers across the 54 and NGB to assure best practices and consolidated efforts where opportunities present themselves.
