I am currently Assistant General Counsel at Kaplan. I advise on a range of commercial transactions and other general legal and compliance matters across the Kaplan International and Kaplan Professional UK and Ireland businesses.My role includes reviewing and negotiating a range of commercial contracts with corporate clients, academic partners, IT suppliers and agents. I also support and manage corporate transactions including the acquisition of new businesses as well as the establishment of new colleges and programmes both in the UK and in overseas jurisdictions. I provide advice on data protection and privacy matters and assist with other compliance and regulatory issues such as anti-bribery, modern slavery and international sanctions. I also ensure compliance with consumer law matters and assist with student welfare issues.
