My current role is a Development Engineer and Project Manager in Burns & McDonnell\'s Energy Global Practice with an emphasis solar and battery energy storage system (BESS) project development. I support clients and battery OEMs with ESS fire protection and code/standard (NFPA 855, UL 9540, UL 9540A) compliance consultations; failure mode and effects analyses (FMEA); hazard mitigation analyses (HMA); permitting support; equipment and construction specification development; site development and land due diligence; preliminary solar and battery technology comparisons; feasibility studies; capital cost estimates; conceptual design; siting studies and interconnection applications. During the project execution phase, I also lead the development of energy storage system fire protection preliminary designs and performance specifications; manage fire protection subcontractor submittals and RFIs; and support startup/commissioning.
