About Andrew Dunn

I was raised always working in the garden. Wheather, it was helping grandma pick her tomatoes, then can them for the winter, or going through the strawberry patch that my dad planted in our gardens growing up. Horticulture has always been a big part of my life. After high school, I have worked vigorously for 15 plus years in the trades, such as metal fabrication, industrial sandblasting and painting. Recently, last December the fabrication company I worked for laid off over 300 union brothers and sisters, including myself, 4 days before Christmas. Well, at that moment I made a promise to myself that I will not allow this to ruin me but I will gain something from this experience. That\'s when I sat down and started making goals and plans to achieve my goals. First, I decided to enroll in online college courses for Business Administration, focusing on Small Business Management. About a month ago I finished my first semester and actually made the Chancellor\'s List with a 4.0 GPA. During that first semester, I decided to further my education by enrolling in college to earn a degree in Greenhouse Engineering. Yes, it is very early in my career change but I am dedicated to these goals and I will not let me or my family down. Right now, I\'m focussing on education and networking, as I think these two elements make the best business owners.
