Teach course on Economics and Finance of Higher Education, which provides graduate students with an essential understanding of economic theory as well as practical understanding of finances and the current challenges of higher education, including the rising cost of higher education. Through readings of relevant material, discussions, as well as interactions with guest speakers, well versed in their fields, students are exposed the many areas that affect the finances and administration of higher education. Some of the many areas addressed in the course include the following: Admission/enrollment and Financial aid; Budget, compensation and cost management; Debt, Economic analysis of revenue and costs; Endowment, Facilities and capital projects; Financial Sustainability, including the rising cost of higher education, and Crises Management; Governance; Philanthropy; and the Role of the Federal and State governments in higher education. Serve on dissertation committees for Doctoral candidates, providing guidance to students on project development and/or manuscript drafts.
