Chartered Engineer (CEng) and Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (FIMechE) with over 30 years’ experience across the nuclear and oil & gas sectors, delivering complex engineering programmes in high-hazard environments.Currently a Programme Engineering Manager at Dounreay, leading multi-disciplinary teams spanning engineering, maintenance, safety case, and construction across multiple major programmes. As part of the site’s Technical Authority and wider leadership team, I play a key role in ensuring safe, compliant, and effective delivery of critical work on a nationally significant nuclear site.My career began with a hands-on mechanical fitter apprenticeship, providing a strong practical foundation that complements my academic qualifications, including a BSc in Mechanical Engineering and an MSc in Engineering Management. This blend of practical and strategic expertise enables me to bridge the gap between engineering theory and real-world delivery.I bring a proven track record of leadership in complex environments, with responsibility for organisational capability, recruitment, and staff development, alongside the implementation of robust engineering and operational procedures.
