   Lead and manage the association’s policy positioning on all Medicare issues, including inpatient and outpatient hospital, physician payment, Part D, and other issues, including writing consensus comment letters and managing informal discussions with government representatives.• Develop policy positions, strategy, and research ideas within the organization and among member companies on legislative and regulatory issues for Medicare Part D, Medicaid prescription drug policy, and several other health policy issues.• Lead separate member company working groups on 1) general health care reimbursement policy, and 2) coverage and payment issues related to “transformative therapies,” which advance the standard of care, but which do not fit traditional parameters of inpatient or outpatient payment systems.• Produce a wide range of written materials on Medicare Part D, drug innovation, pharmacoeconomics, and various other health policy issues.
