   I am a regulatory specialist providing strategic permitting and compliance services related to federal, state, and local environmental regulations. Working closely with clients and regulators to identify, evaluate, and document biologically sound, practical, and legally compliant permitting and compliance strategies. Prior to 2009, I received my BS and MS in Entomology from Texas A&M, since then I have worked in the environmental consulting field in the greater Houston area. In late 2022, along with Matt Chastain we created Compass Environmental Solutions and purchased/took over the Rosenberg BIO-WEST Office. Compass was created to focus on resolving complex ecological and WOTUS permitting challenges within Texas and the surrounding states. We work for private engineering firms, residential and commercial developers, cities, counties, mitigation bank sponsors, the State of Texas, TXDoT, the USACE, and other private industry. Together Matt, I, and our staff have managed and obtained over 150 Section 404 and Section 10 regulatory permits along the Texas gulf coast alone. Our project portfolio includes: waters of the U.S. delineations, Section 10 & 404 Permitting, Threatened and Endangered Species Surveys, Marine Natural Resource Ingestions, Habitat Conservation Plans, Incidental Take Permits, Habitat Management Plans, Baseline Biological Inventories, Mitigation Banking Instruments, and many others.
