Large Fleet Management: Designed and implemented in house automation service in Go to manage 300+ estate of backend clusters (Postgres, Cockroach, MSSQL, Couchbase, MySQL, Kafka) in multiple datacentres and mixed infrastructure platforms (OpenStack, VMWare, Physical, k8s, AWS), ensuring DBA team and Application owners had clear visibility of the health of their clusters through monitoring & alerting (Prometheus/Grafana), with automated integration with industry leading securing access controls and controlled monthly patch deployment to maintain health and uptime of each cluster.• Evolving database landscape: As resilience and uptime of database has gained importance, evaluated multiple techniques and worked with key technical stakeholders to implement Cockroach DB for Tier 1 systems (100% uptime during planned maintenance) and Postgres for Tier 2 (99% uptime during planned maintenance), architecting cluster implementation to fully meet Data resiliency requirements of the business.• Internal Developer Platform: Database-as-a-Service Design lead on Managed Database as a Service - a fully self-serve, multi-region, fault-tolerant Database-as-a-Service solution on Kubernetes for Postgres and CockroachDB, including secure zero-trust database access, monitoring, and automated service discovery/maintenance.• Team Management/Mentoring: Supported team transitions, mentored team members, and improved team cohesion and morale.
