ABOUT ANDREW BERGEN

With nearly two decades of experience in the commercial real estate industry, I bring a comprehensive background spanning brokerage, ownership, and executive leadership. My career has been defined by a combination of transactional expertise, strategic oversight, and operational leadership across multiple markets and business lines. I started my career with CBRE in Halifax as a Research Analyst, before relocating to Calgary to join Oxford Properties Group, the real estate arm of OMERS. In this role, I was responsible for leasing a 1.5 million square foot downtown office portfolio, gaining valuable experience on the ownership side of the business. In 2016, I returned to CBRE in Halifax, where I held the position of Senior Vice President and Managing Director. In this capacity, I led all service lines across Atlantic Canada, including Advisory & Transaction Services, Project Management, Debt & Structured Finance, and Valuation & Appraisal. During my tenure at CBRE, the regional business experienced significant growth, driven by a clear strategic vision that expanded revenue, increased headcount, and diversified the platform. Most recently, I joined Avison Young as Senior Vice President, Broker. I am focused on optimizing regional operations, implementing disciplined business planning processes, and enhancing platform capabilities across Atlantic Canada. As a highly competitive person, and when not pursuing my career goals, I enjoy staying active with personal highlights being; completing the New York City Marathon (2010), Chicago Marathon (2015), Boston Marathon (20••••22), London Marathon (2023) and the Berlin Marathon (2025).
