ABOUT ANDREW BAIRD
As a mission-driven leader passionate about youth employment, I lead regional efforts to equip young people across the MENA region with the skills and opportunities they need to thrive.At Education For Employment (EFE), I’ve helped build partnerships, scale programs, and shape policy conversations—connecting over youth to work, with over half being young women.My work sits at the intersection of systems change, public-private collaboration, and sustainable development. Whether building digital platforms, launching new initiatives, or convening the sector through events like MENA YES, I’m committed to creating lasting impact.Always happy to connect on workforce development, inclusive growth, or AI’s role in shaping the future of jobsIn my previous role as the Director of Workforce and Economic Development at RTI International, I developed a $140M portfolio with higher education and workforce programs in Liberia, Kenya, El Salvador, Haiti, Philippines and Indonesia. I also co-founded the Global Center for Youth Employment, a network connecting stakeholders in workforce development to identify and pursue innovative solutions to a worldwide shortage of job opportunities for young people. I have a strong background in African affairs, community development, and social entrepreneurship.
