About Andrew Alfred
Andrew served as the Director of Cultivation Research & Development as well as Chief Scientist at Pharmacann (previously LivWell Enlightened Health), a vertically integrated MSO serving to provide high quality cannabis products to the East Coast, Midwest and Mountain regions, for 10 years. He led a team of researchers to support cultivation process improvement using data driven approaches. Some areas of focus for his team’s research include applications of horticultural LEDs, irrigation and fertility strategies, and integrated pest management. Andrew also led the development of a commercial tissue culture program that provides clean plant stock and micropropagation at scale, as well as a commercial breeding program that produces proprietary new strains of high performing cannabis. He serves as a liaison to industry, championing best practices, by sitting on several working committees at national, state and local levels. Andrew has a B.S. in Biology from Indiana University and is finishing his M.Sc. in Horticulture at Colorado State University.
