Staff Geologist with more than 5 years of combined field experience in soil, soil gas, and groundwater sampling, excavation and well installation oversight, report writing, AutoCad, and remediation system operation and maintenance in America. As well as working with local communities to facilitate, educate, and spearhead community-based Environmental projects to address Malawi’s most critical environmental challenges.     Oversees on-shift shaft maintenance procedures.Manage shaft maintenance teams on 1st and 3rd shift with above 90% KPI compliance.Executes weekly preventative maintenance schedule by delegating assignments to hourly personnel.Reduced department spend by 31% over the past year while increasing the amount of non-PM work completed in the same period.Saw need for splitting of crew to 1st and 3rd shift and executed a plan in 9 months leading to agility and adaptability of the department to meet the needs of the site as a whole.Developed and updated SOPs for shaft procedures Lead maintenance shutdown projects, Team’s meetings, and safety (PJHA) meetings for shutdown activities.Leads and coordinates for large shaft jobs such as head and tail rope changes.Manage and record daily shaft personnel activities using Sockeye and daily department email chain.Utilize SAP systems to document and prioritize upcoming follow up work in coordination with production and maintenance departments on surface and underground.Expanded scope of work within the department to include shaft grouting and drilling, reducing project expense.Increased engagement within the department by utilizing tenured employees, prioritizing individual goals and site-specific needs.
