I am a results-driven Mechanical Engineer with over 27 years’ experience in engineering management, project delivery, and technical operations in high-pressure, fast-paced environments. My career has given me extensive expertise in engineering leadership, statutory compliance, and sound decision-making under demanding conditions, both in the UK and overseas.Adaptable, resourceful, and detail-focused, I have a proven track record of leading diverse teams, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring that projects are delivered to the highest standards. I communicate effectively at all levels, from technical colleagues to senior decision-makers, and am trusted to build confidence with clients and stakeholders alike.After 24 years in the Regular Army, I successfully transitioned into the civilian engineering sector while continuing to serve in the Army Reserves. This has allowed me to apply my leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills in both commercial and defence contexts: • At Ashdale Engineering, I worked as a Multi-Skilled Engineer Surveyor, conducting statutory inspections on lifting machinery, pressure systems, and LEVs. I was also part of a working-at-height team, using my IRATA Level 1 qualification to carry out inspections and advise clients on compliance requirements. • I am now a Project Manager with Mitie, delivering a wide variety of projects on the FDIS programme. I ensure safe, efficient, and compliant delivery while maintaining clear and open communication with clients, stakeholders, and teams.I thrive in roles that demand technical expertise, decisive leadership, and strong team management, and I am always eager to apply my skills to health and safety and new engineering and project management challenges.
