ABOUT ANDRES MORET
Independent stills photographer and filmmaker based on the West Coast, with facility to travel. I enjoy the creative process of filmmaking in all it\'s steps.Due to my experience of many years as a Product Manager in the pharmaceutical industry, when I arrived to the Entertainment industry, the Production positions came naturally to me: from production assistant to production secretary, to second assistant director, to first assistant director, to coordinator and producer of a feature film, I\'ve experienced almost all the positions in the Production department.My passion for film led me to start a publishing house: Hatari! Books. Based in Spain we like to publish books related to cinema and literature. In late 2022 I published my first book as an author: an essay on the cinema of Academy Award Winning Director, José Luis Garci. I was awarded with the \" 2022 Muñoz Suay Award\" by the Spanish Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences.While researching for Hatari! Books, I fell in love with the behind the scenes still photography and I\'m currently pursuing a parallel career in it. Current projects I am involved in as a director are the American adaptation of the Spanish movie Los jueves, milagro (Luis García Berlanga, 1957), a short film based on a short story written by Academy Award Winner filmmaker José Luis Garci and developing a documentary about Billy Wilder’s The PrivateLife of Sherlock Holmes.Check my website: or my IMDB link:
