About Andrés Forero
I am at the intersection of Finance, Strategy, and Analytics. My career journey is built on a strong foundation in finance, but over the years, I’ve applied my love of learning, data modeling, using visualizations and digital technologies to solve complex problems and tell stories with data.In my current role, I balance responsibilities across Corporate Finance, Digital Finance, and Analytics. I’ve had the privilege of supporting the CFO and the Executive Leadership Team with high-visibility initiatives, scenario modeling, forecasting, ROI analysis, and M&A valuations. A key accomplishment was developing the OGSM (Objective, Growth, Strategy, Measures) process to track Institute margin growth, for which I prepare the Finance Committee status presentations for the CFO.I’m also deeply involved in digital transformation. As the finance leader for our Revenue Prediction machine learning Model (RPM), I collaborate with IT experts and Data Scientists to ensure the model consistently delivers accurate predictions. I love learning new digital tools like the Power Platform to drive efficiency. Following an Analytical Planning initiative to make our reporting more forward-looking, I led the redevelopment and migration of key analytic reports from Excel to Power BI Service. As part of the Analytics and Automation Center of Excellence (AACE), I’ve created client solutions by integrating Power BI with Power Automate and Power Apps, leading to significant process improvements.Currently, RTI is implementing a new Oracle ERP system, and I am contributing to the Reporting and Budgeting Transformation teams, where my deep modeling knowledge is key in transitioning our reporting to Oracle Analytics Cloud. As finance moves towards Digital Finance, I am committed to staying ahead of the curve. I’ve been nominated twice to attend the annual Gartner CFO Conference, where I keep RTI updated on the latest Digital Finance trends. I’ve applied these insights to develop the roadmap for AACE, where our team aspires to solve more advanced projects using generative AI and machine learning.Beyond work, I serve on the Finance Council for the Diocese of Raleigh, advising on financial decisions for their assets. In my personal time, I enjoy windsurfing, skateboarding, I am also learning to integrate Python with Power BI and using data science to analyze real-world problems.Let’s connect if you share a passion for digital finance, analytics, and the power platform in our fields.
