As a Cover Artist, my role is to illustrate the clients requested visions or ideas for print. After receiving the product concepts or issue descriptions I provide around 10 varied thumbnail ideas for direction. After approval by the third party and/or studio I continue to execute the illustration with pencil and digital ink phases. I work directly with the studio and its editors in most cases, as well as the third party vendors when necessary. Lastly, I collaborate with assigned colorists to ensure a smooth production process by providing layered and various file types when necessary.Key Responsibilities (involve and not limited to): Execute a full illustration based on client requests within 14 day time frames. Work alongside studio editors to facilitate and communicate the creative direction with colorists for a smooth production process. Maintaining product expertise and acting with discretion as directed until the project is announced publicly.
