As the Chief Development Officer at SVDP-SF, one of the Bay Area’s most vital human services organizations and a $20 million nonprofit organization operating the largest homeless shelter in Northern California and one of San Francisco’s three domestic violence shelters, I am responsible for leading and executing a strategic development plan that significantly grows revenue streams. I manage a team of development professionals, including a Donor Database Manager, Events and Social Media Coordinator, Development Manager, and Volunteer Engagement Coordinator, to drive results across all fundraising initiatives.Key responsibilities include overseeing all aspects of fundraising, including major gifts, corporate and foundation grants, annual appeals, and special events. I work closely with the Executive Director and Board of Directors to develop long-term strategies that align with the organization’s mission and goals. I lead donor cultivation, securing substantial new gifts, and maintain strong relationships with institutional funders. I also spearhead the planning and execution of high-impact events, such as the annual Brennan Award Dinner, and integrate follow-up donor cultivation into all fundraising efforts.In addition, I manage the organization’s grant portfolio, ensuring timely submissions and compliance, and I have successfully expanded our institutional giving program. My leadership in marketing and communications drives donor engagement and increases the organization’s visibility. I oversee the development team’s use of digital platforms, social media, and donor communications to support fundraising goals. My role also includes budgeting, financial management, and ensuring the cost-effectiveness of all fundraising activities, as well as providing regular reports to the Executive Director and Board on fundraising performance.

Fr. Andres, is a nonprofit executive and development leader with more than two decades of experience in philanthropy, mission-driven leadership, and community engagement. He currently serves as Chief Development Officer for the St. Vincent de Paul Society of San Francisco, where he leads strategic fundraising initiatives, major gifts, and donor engagement efforts supporting one of the Bay Area’s most vital human services organizations serving individuals experiencing homelessness, poverty, addiction, and domestic violence.Prior to joining St. Vincent de Paul, he served as Director of Development and Community Relationships at Cristo Rey De La Salle East Bay High School, where he helped expand philanthropic support for students from underrepresented communities.An ordained Catholic priest, Fr.
