Recruited as Payments Platform Product Owner/Manager with responsibility for Volante VolPay SaaS Payments Engine, UK Swift and Payments Middleware, Planixs Realiti Liquidity Management and the Reporting application. Coordinated/managed the UK Swift and Payments roadmap and delivery prioritisation including payment gateways, sanctions and payment systems. Built a brand-new Payments micro-services platform that will provide scalability, reduce duplication, enhance operational resilience & client experience and reduce cost per payment. Appointed to the Payments Platform Leadership team with ownership of payment gateways, sanctions and payment systems. Led the successful implementation of a new SaaS Payments Engine (VolPay by Volante) with CHAPS and Faster Payments capabilities as part of Payments Platform re-design as well as middleware to process all Swift traffic for the UK Bank and successfully delivered over 70 production releases. Delivered coaching, mentoring and development to a team of four on E2E payments processing and industry wide initiatives. Leadership of the EUR correspondent nostro change and SEPA certification, the HSBC API feasibility study, the Swift Universal Confirmation of Credit and Swift GPI adoption study and the Request to Pay (GBP and EUR) feasibility study. Successfully implemented a cloud based Intraday Liquidity Monitoring & PRA reporting system (Realiti by Planixs) for the UK Bank including the SaaS feasibility study for the system. Delivered four Swift November Standards releases for the UK Bank and led the implementation of a payments query and case management system (FinCase by Valantic) for the UK and South Africa regions.
