WORK HISTORY
Net Architect @ScienceSoft
I help envision, design, build and deliver reliable, scalable and maintainable cloud native and hybrid solutions- Communicate solution design at pre-sale stage and keep refining it during development with stakeholders and development teams (greenfield and existing solutions)- Provide solution blueprints and guide development teams to adhere to selected design principals (Clean Architecture, SOLID, microservices, modular monolith, etc.) as they add functionality- Get involved in the actual development to validate design decisions, take timely corrective actions and keep having fun programming- Often cover DevOps activities by implementing IaC with Bicep/Terraform, CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps pipelines and GitHub actions.Selected projects- Designed a multi-tenant investment management solution. Implemented efficient processing and reporting of time-series financial data taking advantage of TimescaleDB and a bunch of cloud services (Azure Container Apps, PostgreSQL, Redis, etc)- Designed a microservices based ERP solution for metal parts manufactures (Azure Container Apps, Cognitive Search, Service Bus, Communication/Email Service, Sql Databases, etc)- Helped with MMO first-person shooter game global launch by mitigating connectivity issues with Azure Cache for Redis service, implementing connection balancing between multiple Azure SignalR instances and redesigning telemetry analysis pipeline using Azure EventHub and Stream Analytics- Designed and implemented core infrastructure components of the greenfield insurance management platform for a global aviation insurance company (basic modeling around concepts, reliable events, robust service skeleton based on CQRS, interservice messaging (ServiceBus), in-memory caches and invalidation mechanisms). Implemented multiple functional areas including hybrid authentication based on IdentityServer/OpenIDConnect supporting internal users (through Azure Entra ID) and external brokers.

ABOUT ANDREI DZIMCHUK
I build things - scalable systems, elegant architectures, and solutions that don’t just work but last. With over 20 years in the trenches of professional software development, I’ve gone from writing code to designing the foundations that hold it all together. My toolkit.NET, Azure, and a deep love for clean systems design. I thrive where complexity meets clarity: breaking down big problems, leading small teams, and making sure the pieces fit just right. When I’m not shipping software, I’m probably contributing to open source, tinkering with something new, or reminding people that \"it depends\" is the only honest answer in tech.Let’s connect if you’re into well-built systems, pragmatic engineering, or geeking out over the right level of abstraction.BackgroundI started programming back in the early 90’s. By that time I had a Sinclair ZX Spectrum computer that my dad constructed and I started playing around with Z80 assembly language until I mastered it to a degree that I wrote a file manager that was communicating directly to the disk controller bypassing TR-DOS. I was like a 13 year old kid then and early computer addiction is one of the reasons I wear glasses today (Speccy was plugged into a regular TV set, I got my first EGA monitor a bit later). Still, I don\'t regret a thing.Later on in the beginning of 2002 I was learning C++ on a regular PC with Microsoft Windows and VS 6 on board. In that period I wrote the first version of my Power Video Player and learned a bit of DirectShow. In 2004 I got interested in.NET. I learned Windows Forms, Remoting, ADO.NET, COM Interop. This is when I started doing some web development. I got my first MCPD ASP.NET certification in 2008 and today keep passionately learning new stuff. At the same time in 2004 I joined ScienceSoft and. you can check out my experience section to get the rest of the story :)
