ABOUT ANDREIA SIQUEIRA

Andreia is a Senior Earth Observation expert with established experience in Earth Observation data exploitation and geospatial analyses; emergency management; disaster response and recovery and project management. For the last 20 years, she has worked across private sectors, international organizations and governments including State and Federal Governments in Australia and Brazil. International co-operation, geospatial expertise and project management skills have played a key part in her recent roles, where technical skills combined with strong co-ordination and collaboration with team members and stakeholders have proved essential for successful outcomes. At the Australian Federal Government, Andreia has worked in different roles related to the application and exploitation of Earth Observation data. Currently Andreia is the European Technical Liaison Officer for Geoscience Australia based at FAO and previously at ESRIN. At this role, Andreia has been supporting CEOS LSI-VC to drive the CEOS Analysis Ready Data for Land (CARD4L) activity including expanding the scope and promoting the adoption of the CARD4L specifications by Space Agencies. Andreia has played a crucial role as the acting GFOI Data Component Manager where she has developed and started implementing the GFOI new Data Component workplan. Further, Andreia is responsible to explore opportunities for Australian/European industry to partner on development of EO applications as well as to liaise with European agencies, institutions and companies on their engagement with the open data cube community. Andreia has a background in applied science with a PhD in bushfire modelling applied to the Amazon forest, Master of Science in agrometeorology and bachelor’s degree in meteorology.
