Kevin Kilkenny (KK) is the President of the Boeing Employees - Indigenous Network (BE- IN) formerly known as Boeing Native American Network (BNAN) and an Engineering Expert on the 787 program for Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) in Customer Support (CS) for the Airplane Maintenance Engineering (AME) organization. In these positions he is a leader in the community as well as in the global workplace. He often handles inquiries that are complex and delivers responses with grace. Prior to this position, Kevin was a Manufacturing Engineer for BCA at the Boeing South Carolina 787 Final Assembly & Delivery Center Engineering organization. He lead the employee involvement team for his organization through stage 1 completion. The goal of this implementation was to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the company\'s systems, architecture, and processes. He has previously supported the 787 program in flight test as well as hundreds of deliveries. Kevin is a Boeing Leadership Development Excellence (LDE) Associate, class of 2013 alumni and the first to do so from Charleston, SC site. He has also held the title of President of the Boeing Black Employees Association (BBEA) for the Beach Cities region. In addition he was Vice President (VP) and Treasurer for the Boeing Hispanic Employees Network (BHEN) executive board in South Carolina. In the community, Kevin volunteers his time away from Boeing helping to feed and protect his fellow citizens at local shelters and restoring community gardens. He also was an avid contributor to the youth as an instructor for Junior Achievement, and Dreamlearners. He helps build and maintain the community through Adopt-A-Highway, Homeworks for America, and Habitat for Humanity. He obtained a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering degree from the University of Central Florida. During his years in college he worked on a senior design project at a joint NASA and Astrotek facility to develop an autonomous greenhouse payload for future Lunar and Martian based missions. The team found through experiment that 1200 ppm CO2 is optimal for this payload and less than 2 hours of daily interaction is needed. In his spare time Kevin enjoys spending time with family and traveling around the globe. Kevin also enjoys beaches, sports, models, parks, and completing action items!
