ABOUT ANDREAS SYRÉN

I am a curious and multifaceted person that has a huge drive to learn and understand new things. I’ve always been a quick learner and am quick to find new things interesting. It is the most amazing feeling to see a connection between two different fields, and take the opportunity to reach a new level of abstraction, and understanding. I am a proponent of sharing knowledge, and enjoy taking the time to help, and be helped by, others to understand. Challenging oneself to explain is to me one of the absolute best ways to solidify what we\'ve learned - and I trust religiously that a group performs best when engaged in improving each others sense of direction, knowledge and understanding. I’ve always loved a good problem. The challenge of turning it different ways, viewing it from several perspectives and getting an intuitive understanding of the problem can really get my head going. It has been one of my main drives both when studying and as a professional, and has followed me throughout my engineering, mathematical and leadership development. I thrive in work close to the technology of tomorrow bridging the gap between academic progress and business. My dream jobs all have to do with strategic leadership and mentorship within technology, where I get to be in close contact with both academic advances, my colleagues, and the applications of those advances within the organisation I work with.
