Actively working to achieve Chartered Chemical Engineer status- Actively applying specialist chemical engineering knowledge combined with essential soft skills and adhering to process safety regulations in Platinum Group Metals Refining- Part of a small team of technical specialists focused on providing both reactive and proactive support to ensure the effective running of established and recently introduced processes in the Platinum Group Metal Refinery- Being a single point of contact on Technical matters within the assigned operational area, bridging the Operations and Technical functions, using data to drive the decision-making process and implement improvements- Lead the development and management of new and existing data collection and recording databases, proactively monitoring plant performance (e.g. OEE, throughput, yields)- Use statistical analysis and data visualisation packages (e.g. JMP, Minitab, Tableau) to provide robust data driven solutions to technical problems, and to communicate these findings in a form appropriate for a non-technical audience- Set and validate parameters and specifications for all operational processes- Use problem solving methodology / principles to establish root causes of issues and identify appropriate solutions within the existing operations (e.g. 8D, RCA, Six sigma)- Monitor plant processes through statistical analysis, proactively identify out of control processes and investigate root cause in a timely fashion to minimise impact on Business and Operational performance.
