ABOUT ANDREA SASSO

Italian entrepreneur and manager, 35+ years experience, operating in several companies, specialized in Energy, IIoT and Environment.“Elettromeccanica Sasso” was established in 1926 by my grandfather Silvestro and then directed by my father Dante, with focus on electrical machines and their command/control devices.In the 80’s, I’ve made my official entrance to the family corporation management and, at the same time, I also trained externally in accounting and business management.From the 90’s, my activity has been pointed towards solutions about stand-alone electrification systems, which has been concept to be based on hybrid solutions: solar, wind, biomass, hydro, innovative storage systems, power generators and energy-ICT devices, conceived together with the purpose to optimize energy resources, in order to give efficient energy responds to every consumption, places and requirements.In this time, as well, I also worked as a coordinator for EU and GOs projects in renewable energy and sustainable environmental development.Since the my family expertise met up with other relevant national and international energy firms’ know-how.This occurrence has been a chance to give life and manage several innovative start-up companies.In 2010, the joint-venture between one family company and the French utility EDF (Électricité de France), gave life to EDF ENR Solare S.r.l- the Italian EDF branch company qualified in renewable distributed energy systems.In 2013 I founded PHPower® (People Have the Power), an innovative start-up company oriented to the digitization of add value energy services by means of a proprietary hardware/software IoT platform, then acquired, in 2018, by Elettra Investimenti Group.Currently I\'m working on new business models capable to become the catalyzer between my experience in management/innovation and an environmental/social sustainability.
