As Assistant General Counsel at Nestlé, I lead the legal support for the the company\'s multibillion-dollar U.S. coffee, enhancer, and ready-to-drink brand portfolio which includes the iconic Nescafe, Starbucks, Coffee Mate, and Nesquik brands. With over 15 years of experience across the technology and CPG industries, I have a passion for supporting product innovation, development, and marketing with strategic and business-oriented legal expertise.My role allows me to leverage my skills in risk advising, regulatory compliance, management of outside counsel, and implementing operational efficiencies. As part of my current role, I lead legal support for Nestlé North America’s strategic licensing relationship with Starbucks. I have also led creation of a unified cross-enterprise legal approach to the company’s ecommerce partnership with Amazon and strategic legal guidance on the company\'s privacy, cyber, and data security programs. Most importantly, I\'ve developed a deep understanding of the business that allows me to support the business with strategy beyond legal matters.Previously, I worked at Microsoft, where I expanded the breadth and depth of my trademark experience and helped evolve the company’s marketing regulatory monitoring activities, legal automation, and brand protection. Prior to Microsoft, I advised and represented clients on global trademark and copyright matters at the law firm Perkins Coie.
