As CMO and Head of Global Medical Affairs, held full responsibility for all Global Medical Affairs and Clinical Operations functions. Led and coached a team of up to 36. Created and executed the overarching Medical and Clinical strategic plans.HIGHLIGHTS: Increased value to the overall organization and top-priority strategic goals by expanding accountability to include Clinical Operations, including CRAs, statisticians, data managers, and IVDR/MDR compliance professionals (full responsibility for the entire department, including budgeting, hiring, and strategic planning). Led a cross-functional, diverse Global Medical Affairs team (spanning 8 countries) and built an inclusive environment, as well as championing and communicating the team’s achievements to other senior-level leaders in Ascensia. Planned and led a virtual, real-world evidence study with 700+ participants across the U.S, leading to 2 international conference presentations and 2 primary peer-reviewed articles. Contributed substantially to the development of marketing collateral and unique selling points as a result of the study, as well as managing study expenses below industry average. Led the integration and oversight of new U.S. and Europe Clinical Training Managers for the launch of Eversense CGM (produced by Sensionics) in the U.S. and abroad (roles comparable to MSLs).
