How do architects choose sustainable materials?Based solely on their aesthetic appearance?What about “form follows function”?What about their actual construction?What about the wishes of the client — who ultimately pays for everything?Coordination between stakeholders and the value chain are crucial for scaling a business.Over the past two decades, I have worked at the intersection of research, practice, and policy. I develop topics that will lead our industry into a climate-friendly future.My approach to strategic development is based on three pillars:• Communication & Network: Through my many years of editorial work at ARCH+ and my current position as a lecturer at the University of Liechtenstein, I have perfected the art of translating complex technical concepts (from life cycle assessments to circular economy) into clear narratives. In doing so, I draw on my established network of specialist media, chambers, and professional associations.• Strategic Brand Management: As Marketing Director at Saint-Gobain Glass, I led international market launches, including iWin®. I know how to position a brand as a driver of innovation and how to moderate complex interests across global value chains.• Digital Competence: Linking building materials with BIM and the Digital Product Passport (DPP) has been part of my everyday work.
