ABOUT ANDREA LEONCINI
Innovation is the keyword that drives my work. It\'s more than just looking at new technology, is also a style of life. Starting from March 2017, I have been promoted manager of the pre-sales team in Rome. I have explored the meaning of \"Manager\" from Red Hat perspective. A journey to understand how to share our culture and increase motivation and satisfaction of the associates that brought me to a modern vision about People management. From a technical point of view recently I have been working on projects and solutions for Digital Innovation for Italian large accounts. OpenShift AI is the platform I have been working mostly in my latest activities, and more in general the definition of an AI platform and related architectures and processes. A new entry in my personal skill chart is GoLang the natural language of cloud computing. Previously I have improved my skills in the integration and BPM area. From a business perspective here are some numbers: I arrived in Red Hat at the end of fiscal year 2008, with the mission of promoting the Open Source Value Proposition. At that time the business based on Red Hat middleware products in Italy was almost starting from scratch, in a company which used to sell Infrastructure products. The year after (2009) the business for JBoss products was already more then double and the year after we confirmed the trend with an increase of more than 30% year over year. But the great result arrived during the Fiscal Year (2011) where I achieved the 185% of my financial targets. That was the best achievement of Red Hat EMEA as Solution Architect, due to that I have been nominated Solution Architect of the Year. Today I can say that I have known more than 70 successfully Quarters in a row always in achievement or over achievement. I\'m still passionate in writing code and and design modern solutions. Already speaker at Java Day 2008 and Italian Java Conf 2005 and 2006 in June 2017 I have been speaker at Red Hat Summit in Boston and usual chairman every year at Italian Summit Connect events.
