As CEO of van der Linde Recycling and Container Rentals it is one of the greatest privileges of my life to lead this amazing team. Our mission, to care for our people, community and planet through the recovery and recycling of discarded material drives us each and every day to reach new heights. It is our vision to be a leader in the recovery and recycling of material not collected in curbside recycling. This includes: construction and demolition debris, shingles, mattresses, carpet, PVC, rigid plastics, wire, fluorescent bulbs, brush, stumps and metal items such as bed frames, shelves, bikes, lawn furniture and appliances. We would be unable to do this without the support of our customers and community we are grateful for their support. It is our goal to make people aware of the millions of tons of material that can be recovered and recycled that often get overlooked. Curbside recycling is critical to recovery but there is even more that can be done. Our children and grandchildren have to deal with the mess we leave behind. Dumping it in a hole in the ground is not a solution. Reduce, reuse, recycle! I have over 25 years of administrative and management experience. The first 13 years I worked primarily with nonprofits such as the American Red Cross, Army Emergency Relief and other U.S. Army family support organizations. I have spent the past 13 years in for profit organizations. The first being Schlumberger Norge AS as Receivable Manager for Scandinavia and the North Sea, followed by Lotos Norge AS as Executive Assistant to the CEO. After relocating back to the U.S. in 2012, I joined van der Linde Recycling and Container Rentals as the Sales Manager. A year after that I obtained my VA State Waste Facility Operators License. In 2014 my responsibilities expanded to include Fleet Manager. In 2016 I was promoted to Chief Operations Officer and in 2018 to Chief Executive Officer. I have a B.S. in Business Administration from University of Maryland University College. I have been married for 31 years to my best friend Tom and have two amazing boys.
