Hi, I’m Andrea and I\'m CFO at Insight Molecular Diagnostics Inc. Our mission is to democratize access to molecular diagnostic testing.I\'ve run strategy, investor relations and capital stewardship. For six years, I helped lead Axon via a series of escalating finance roles as a key exec on the team that transformed the company from $1 billion to $20 billion in market cap. I inject energy and heterodox strategic thinking into organizations. My superpower is combining analytical training, narrative storytelling and writing, and authenticity with a deep understanding of corporate capital structure and financial modeling. Translation: I love both people and spreadsheets. The capital markets energize me.I\'ve worked on strategic investor relations for Tesla and as a VP and senior research analyst for Dougherty & Co, where I researched disruptive tech on behalf of institutional investors. My career portfolio includes advisory work with awesome companies & founders; Solve for X LLC, with clientele including portfolio managers, Fortune 50 executives, a former member of Congress, and tech engineers; and property management with short term & long term rentals.As a classically trained financial analyst, I\'ve gone deep on aerospace and defense, clean tech/automotive, and industrial markets, including defense and intelligence contracting, unmanned aerial vehicles (drones), commercial satellite imagery and remote sensing (geoint), precision ag, 3D printing, firearms, and electric vehicles and batteries. And of course, SaaS, hard tech, gov tech and so on thanks to Axon.Media & public speaking are fun! I\'ve appeared on CNBC, Bloomberg News, CNN, and Fox Business. I\'ve appeared in media outlets including Barron\'s, Investor\'s Business Daily, the Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, and the MIT Technology Review. Prior to all of the above, I was an investigative business reporter, and was profiled by CBS MarketWatch and National Public Radio.In undergrad, I majored in computer science, and minored in physics and communications. I hold a masters degree in journalism from Northwestern. I\'m at my best in a crisis. I love to laugh. I have more than followers on X (aka Twitter), which I share because I’m not sure it’s relevant or not, but just in case it is. My husband and I love to ski and mountain bike, and we have three children.
