About us Barre & Soul is a collection of barre and yoga studios with the mission to empower and nurture participants to thrive—in body, mind, and spirit. Founded in 2013, Barre & Soul® operates successful studios in Harvard Square and Melrose, MA, Wayland Square,(Providence) RI, Portsmouth, NH, and online. Our Barre & Soul Method challenges participants physically with blends of modern ballet conditioning, Pilates, yoga and low-impact cardio, and incorporates inspirational layers of soulful instruction. Inspired by the original Lotte Berk technique, it produces results participants can see and feel, increasing total-body strength and flexibility while maintaining the utmost safety and accessibility for all. Barre & Soul® Academy, our certification program, is the most comprehensive and authentic barre teacher training available to the public, and we are proud to be a Barre Fitness Alliance-approved training. Ingrained in the Barre & Soul culture is our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
