I love coming up with efficient, creative solutions to problems. I get excited when I can solve a customer or team pain points, especially if it involves data. At work, this means I gravitate towards building out solutions - including Sales Ops reporting for my global team or coming up with programs to help us work more collaboratively.I\'m a huge fan of Business Intelligence, and I\'ve spent the past 6 years working with Tableau, first as a data analyst, then as a tech partner, and currently as a Solution Engineer supporting the Big 4 consulting firms. My path with big data started in grad school where I was part of the exciting transformation from low-density microarray analysis in Excel to whole-genome sequencing and building out tools for nucleosome and transcription factor modeling in R. From there, I became a business-focused data analyst. My time at grad school has prepared me well for digging into sometimes poorly defined questions, preparing and organizing data, and finding a way to make results happen. It also left me a fan of the Oxford comma and with an aversion to presentation slides that contain paragraphs of text.
