Lead the UX Research practice in the Global Transaction Banking (GTB) team, as the first researcher, and oversee our growing team. • Support a team of 20+ designers working on a global business banking platform, ScotiaConnect, to better understand corporate, commercial and small business users at a global scale, including in Canada, US, Mexico, Peru and Colombia, and to advance evidence-based decision making in design and product. •Created and oversee our research roadmap for the next calendar year, in alignment with strategic business objectives, and collaborate with Design and Product leadership to identify and prioritize upcoming research projects.• Plan and conduct generative and evaluative research, including interviews with users, focus groups, and usability tests, to identify and dive deeper into user needs, pain points, workflows, and behaviors. Synthesize insights and actionable recommendations for broader sharing with various stakeholders, including POs, PMs, Product Designers, and executive-level leadership. • Lead discovery research to better understand the service journey of small business owners navigating our business banking platform ScotiaConnect, retail platform (ScotiaOnline) and mobile, identifying motivations to sign up for SCO, mapping pain points along the journey, and flagging capability gaps. Contributed to the develpment of a POC that prioritize key capabilities for SMBs, and led testing of POC and integration of feedback• Developed a centralized research repository from 0-1 in Confluence to offer a single source of truth for research insights and to facilitate knowledge sharing across GTB Global Design, Product and Dev teams, engaging Designers and POs throughout the process to understand how they consume research and gathering their feedback on the MVP. Helped POs in the prioritization of features and enhancements for post MVP.
