The Lived Experience Advisory Group (LEAG) is a program for people with lived experience of homelessness in Santa Cruz County who work to advocate for solutions to homelessness, facilitate community discussions and educational opportunities on topics related to homelessness, and spearhead outreach efforts to those currently experiencing homelessness and/or transitioning into housing. As the LEAG Program Manager, I partner with group members to facilitate trainings and professional development opportunities (personal narrative development, public speaking, local and state advocacy, self care and boundary setting, etc.) to maximize their impact in leadership and advisory roles. I offer 1x1 coaching and mentorship to group members as well as facilitate group work. Additionally, I organize a variety of events in the community and project manage \"Picture This\", an annual speakers series event focusing on topics related to homelessness in our community (see link).
