As an undergraduate researcher, my responsibilities included supporting general management of the lab through bumblebee colony care and feeding. I also worked with Graduate Student Timothy Salazar on his project, aiding with inoculations, gut screening, and data collection. This semester, after learning more about the lab\'s various projects, I will begin my own research project on varroa mite detection in honey bee colonies.
