About Andrea B. Myers

Andrea Myers is a bridge-builder, optimist, government and nonprofit leader, whose experience and passion lies in developing programs and experiences that help emerging and established leaders build teams and achieve goals.She is Executive Director of GlobalJax, a community based organization in Jacksonville, Florida with a 35-year history providing international exchange and education across North Florida. The GlobalJax community regularly works with the U.S. Department of State, Library of Congress, universities, companies and individuals to build intercultural understanding, spark social innovations, and expand economic prosperity. She is also the Training and Program Manager for the City of Jacksonville’s Office of Ethics, Compliance and Oversight which works to build a culture of ethics and transparency among the City’s employees. In addition, while working at both the City of Jacksonville and GlobalJax, Andrea completed a Master’s Degree in Nonprofit Administration at the University of Notre Dame. As a believer in community, Andrea supports a variety of organizations and causes which includes participating in Leadership Jacksonville’s class of 2023, serving as President of the Creative Writing Boosters Association for Douglas Anderson School of the Arts, sitting on the Advisory Board for the International Business program at the University of North Florida, and as a sponsor of WeaveTales, a refugee storytelling organization led by former refugees. She lives in Jacksonville’s Historic Springfield neighborhood with her family and since moving into their home a few years ago they have hosted dozens of dinners and celebrations with over guests from at least 75 different countries. In her free time, Andrea enjoys local exploring, travel and nature.

   In this role, I supervise a team of staff and volunteers that curated high-quality training programs, diplomatic receptions, panel conversations, and speaking engagements, resulting in 97% customer (180 different nations) satisfaction. We developed and managed professional relationships with businesses and nonprofit organizations, elected officials, donors, sponsors and membership. We also recruited and engaged thousands of volunteers from diverse backgrounds including the development of internship program curriculum for 100+ interns.Not only that, we participated in annual Annual Federal advocacy efforts on behalf of our clients, managed fundraising and development efforts (including major event planning for 15+ years) and doubled earned income by developing entrepreneurial activities to support nonprofit mission.
