About Andrea Baez

I’m Andrea—a graduate student at Caldwell University completing my master’s in Art Therapy and Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Before stepping into the world of mental health, I spent over six years in digital e-commerce, marketing, and project management. I enjoyed the creativity and working with many different teams, but I kept feeling a pull toward something more connected to helping people in a meaningful way. That pull led me to a career switch. Through my internship experiences at Lenox Hill Neighborhood House’s older adult center and women’s shelter, and Jamaica Hospital’s inpatient psychiatric unit, I’ve had the privilege of supporting individuals using art and empathy as tools for healing. These moments have confirmed that I’m exactly where I’m meant to be. My passion lies in blending creativity with care—offering people a space to be seen, heard, and supported as they explore their stories through art therapy and counseling. I’m excited to keep learning, growing, and showing up for others in ways that make a difference.
