ABOUT ANDREA ZANOTTI

I\'m a PhD student in communication and information sciences at Université Sorbonne Nouvelle (France), at IRMÉCCEN - Institute of Medias, Cultures, Communication, and Digital; and a PhD student in social sciences at University of Lausanne (Switzerland), at CEG - Center for Gender Studies. I\'m doing an ethnography on the dynamics and the uses of Grindr in Rural France. During my PhD, I have actively participated in international conferences and symposia, as well as in events dedicated to disseminating and popularizing scientific knowledge, which helped me develop my oral and discursive skills. As an educator, I have gained substantial experience in conveying knowledge, particularly in the fields of digital media sociology and cultural studies. Additionally, I was engaged in organizing scientific events, refining my abilities in management and coordination. Currently, I am deeply engaged in drafting and publishing my research findings. Since the start of my thesis, I have successfully initiated and developed financially viable projects, as evidenced by various grants and funding sources supporting my research, like - 36 months PhD contrat of University Sorbonne Nouvelle (doctoral school 267 Arts and Medias)- 12 months PhD completion grant of ANRS - MIE (French National Agency for Research on AIDS and Viral Hepatitis – Emerging Infectious Diseases)- scholarships for mobility and co-supervision.
