As a College Advisor my role includes but not limited to:• Assisting students in developing and enhancing skills and habits needed for successful college learning• Monitoring students academic progress and achievement while enrolled in high school• Assisting the development of students education and career plans to keenly target and enhance the students educational experience and occupational choices • Working with individual students and in small groups to provide support on college transition issues, community/college life and to help students access and utilize non-academic resources.• Coordinating college related activities with other staff personnel, business and industry and their community partners.• Coordinating authentic and work based learning experiencesconsult with teachers, parents, administrators, and board members about the college bound program and other school-related activities, procedures and plans.• Collecting, analyzing, interpreting and distributing appropriate data related to college planning and transitioning.• Working collaboratively with families and community representative and utilize resources for referral purposes.• Evaluating the program progress and make recommendations for continuous improvements.
