ABOUT ANDREA T. DURAN

I’m a behavioral health scientist, innovator, and health equity advocate with a deep commitment to making movement more accessible for all — whether it’s breaking up sedentary time, going for a walk, or recovering after a cardiac event. My work brings together kinesiology, digital health, and implementation science to design, test, and scale hybrid care models that fit into people’s real lives and the systems that serve them. I lead cross-functional efforts to build and optimize nontraditional cardiac rehabilitation and prevention programs that improve access and experience for patients, streamline workflows for providers, and integrate seamlessly within healthcare systems. In addition to building new interventions and generating evidence, I help healthcare teams, community leaders, and innovators bring rigor and structure to how they design, evaluate, and implement novel solutions. My goal is to ensure that what works in theory works in practice and reaches those who need it most.Focus areas:• Nontraditional cardiac rehabilitation and preventive care• Clinical and implementation operations• Human-centered design and telehealth integration• Digital health equity and physical activity promotion
