As an external consultant at Uni Systems, embedded at the Joint Research Centre (JRC) Ispra site of the European Commission, I manage data operations for the Risk Data Hub, a key platform supporting European disaster risk management policies. My role combines expertise in data mining, automation, and hazard analysis to deliver actionable insights and maintain platform excellence.Key Contributions:• Data Automation & Forecasting: Designed and implemented automated workflows to update and forecast vulnerability data across Europe, ensuring real-time accuracy and reliability.• Hazard Exposure Insights: Analyzed exposure of populations, buildings, and infrastructure to multiple hazards at the Local Administrative Unit (LAU) level, spanning historical data (1975) to future projections (2030).• Platform Development: Collaborated with IT and development teams to enhance the Risk Data Hub’s infrastructure, updating loss databases and advancing predictive analytics for disaster risk reduction.• Policy Support: Delivered data-driven analyses to inform European disaster risk management policies, enabling better mitigation strategies and resilience planning.
