As the Community Coordinator for the Colorado Avalanche Alumni Association, I help drive the mission of giving back to the sport and community that shaped these incredible athletes. In this role, I work closely with former NHL players to foster meaningful connections between the alumni, local youth hockey programs, and the broader Colorado community. I lead outreach and partnership efforts with local hockey associations and clubs, helping to strengthen grassroots engagement, raise awareness of our initiatives, and support fundraising efforts that benefit youth scholarships, adaptive hockey, mental health programs, and veteran-focused causes. From coordinating small community events to supporting large-scale showcases, I’m passionate about celebrating the legacy of Avalanche players while expanding our impact across the state.Coordinated and executed four cornerstone events, including the inaugural Colorado Alumni Faceoff at Magness Arena (5,800+ fans).• Generated $80K+ in revenue and in-kind contributions through auctions, ticket sales, donations, merchandise, and sponsorships.• Secured $13K TravisMathew sponsorship and launched a 30th Season Logo, elevating alumni branding and visibility.• Recruited, trained, and managed a 29-person volunteer team, ensuring seamless operations and a professional fan experience.• Strengthened alumni, sponsor, and community partnerships while expanding youth hockey engagement across 14 associations.
