ABOUT ANDREA R. WAKSMUNSKI
I am currently a Medical Writer at OPEN Health with experience in the therapeutic area of ophthalmology. I completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Population and Quantitative Health Sciences at Case Western Reserve University under the mentorship of Dr. Jessica Cooke Bailey. I completed my Ph.D. in Genetics in 2020 at Case Western Reserve University under the mentorship of Dr. Jonathan Haines with a focus on identifying novel components of genetic risk for age-related macular degeneration. My research interests span the fields of genomics, genetic epidemiology, and the ethical, legal, and social implications of genomics research.
