Potency representative within the Technical Operations & Process Sciences Division for early-stage projects, coordinating assay transfer, assay optimization, qualification, product characterization and generation of critical reagents to support program deadlines. • Design of bioassays which reflect the mechanism of action for antibodies, ADCs and other drug modalities to determine relative potency, lot-to-lot variability and product stability. Development assays include cytotoxicity assays, binding ELISAs, homogeneous binding assays (AlphaLISA and HTRF), flow cytometry, Octet, bystander killing and various reporter assays as needed.• Member of the Potency Cell Line Engineering (PCLE) subgroup. Accountable for the design, creation, screening and validation of engineered cell lines to support bioassays for several programs. Examples include receptor over-expression, target knockout, inducible cytokine/reporter expressing cell lines.• Identification and implementation new technologies and innovative approaches to measure the potency of Seagen’s pipeline molecules including monoclonal antibodies, multi-domain proteins, and ADCs to support early- and late-phase product and process development.• Dedicated to the design, development, optimization and qualification of effective and robust bioassays to support CMC development. • Leads and supervises research associates, setting clear goals and expectations for each individual, designing experiments to be carried out by direct reports and provides timely feedback to promote project advancement.
