Within the ERS department I added to my role also the trackside activities, that have gradually become my major role starting from 2022.In this position my duties can be divided into two main areas: on-track work and off-track work.Off-track work consist in preparing the next race event and data checking the previous race event. The previous race event data checks are done to ensure that during the event no mistakes were made, develop and update work e-tools and check reliability of hardware components.The next race event preparation ranges from hardware checks to strategy programming, interacting with the racing team performance department to ensure that the strategies required will work properly on track.On-track work consist in ensuring the reliability of the hardware at track - from energy storage, to inverters, electrical engines and cooling circuits - as well as getting the best performance possible. This is done during racing sessions by real-time data simultaneous analysis of both cars on track and off-sessions by making electrical controls of the devices and collecting data from the sessions to refine the strategies programmed.
